Muse S Headband Review

Honest disclosure: All reviews are authentic and are summaries of real-life user experiences with the devices I am covering on tdcsdevices.com. Reviews are not influenced by neurostimulation manufacturers. When you purchase a tDCS (or other) device, I sometimes earn affiliate commission to support my work.

The Muse S device is “the brain sensing headband”, helping users start their day off with incredible focus and ending it with restorative sleep. It aims to bring out the best “you” and accompany you through meditation practices and much-needed sleep. A lot of innovative technology is packed into the rechargeable pod that measures heart rate, brain activity, body movements, and breathing.

Customer Reviews
There are quite a few customer reviews, some negative and some positive.
User: “This is a really great product for inducing a state of calmness by connecting your body with your mind. With the Muse S I can report that after a few days its been effective in calming me down and sending me to sleepy-town.

User: “The idea of this new band is very good and the application to go to sleep is very interesting and I liked it. The problem is that the band is very tight and I cannot loosen it to feel comfortable. The band has a hard time finding a signal.”

Best Buy Blog: “My experiences with the Muse S Headband have been mixed. The headband itself is excellent; it’s plush and comforting. And the Muse itself can do a lot. It offers all of the benefits of the Muse 2, plus responsive sleep journeys and double the battery life.”

Reviews generally focus on its ability to promote consistent meditation and sleep and understanding of the brain and body. Some even comment on the portability where you can do other activities while wearing the accessible technology. However, some complain about the loss of signal and other technical difficulties.

Cost
The Muse S Headband has two different purchasing options – the Muse S headband on its own for $349.99 and the Muse S Headband with 300+ Additional Meditations (1 year subscription) at $369.98 after discounts (original price at $444.98). You can also purchase a Muse S Case separately, or a bulk buy of six or ten headbands.

Ease of Use
This device is reminiscent of a running headband. Simply putting the headband on and pairing it with the app, you gain access to a whole host of features. The device translates your mental activity into the guiding sounds of weather, synchronizes your heartbeat to a soundscape, builds awareness of your posture, and offers guided meditation through the app. It offers a familiar sort of experience with the bluetooth pairing and use of an app.

Along with auditory content and guided meditation, you can enjoy an incredible sleep and meditation experience anywhere.
The headband comes with 10 hours of battery life, a microUSB port, cable, and LED indicator for charging, wireless connection, and compatibility with the Muse App.

Delivery/Customer Service
At first glance, Muse doesn’t have a page detailing their delivery policy, but they have recently made their products available worldwide.

In terms of customer service, they have a Facebook, a YouTube channel, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn if you have any queries or want to see the devices in action.
Their devices offer a 30-day moneyback guarantee and a 365-day warranty but they aren’t known to be overly responsive when it comes to service.
